Hello, here's a rare and unique piece of British movie memorabilia. Perfect for any collector who loves pretty artwork on their movie posters. This is a 100% authentic British movie theater poster. It is a one sheet sized poster (approx. 40" tall by 27" wide), that was made in the UK for the film's distribution to commonwealth countries. UK one sheets are usually a bit smaller than their US counterparts of the era. This vintage poster actually dates from 1958 for the Rank Organization love story, "Passionate Summer", aka 'Storm Over Jamaica" (in the USA). The poster
is now 63 years old.
The movie starred Virginia McKenna (Born Free, A Town Like Alice, The Cruel Sea); Bill Travers (Gorgo, Duel at Diablo, Bhowani Junction); Yvonne Mitchell (The Trials of Oscar Wilde); Canadian actor Alexander Knox (The Sea Wolf, Wilson, The Vikings, You Only Live Twice) and Carl Mohner (Sink the Bismark, The Key, Behind the Mask).
This original movie collectible shows some signs of use from theater display like pin hole/paper damage in a few areas (i.e. woman's hair at the top left, etc.); some extra vertical folds from poster exchange storage; some fold and border wear. There is a bit of archival tape on the back to keep any damage from spreading. There may also be writing on the back (this does not appear to affect the front). I would estimate the condition as somewhere around the Very Good to Fine Minus condition ranges.

The artwork is simply fabulous with a lovely painterly quality and wonderful colours.
