    Description

For sale is this good tested Adley (looks like Thordarson) tube amp power transformer about 3 1/2 x 4 x 4 1/4"
    its over 7 1/2 pounds
we've sold dozens of vintage power transformers in the 7 1/2-8 pound range, many were stamped 240-250 VA volt amp. That might be consumption,
so they easily output 200 VA or watts total (if you multiply your heater V * amps, and high voltage produced *amps) i.e. 6.3V 5A, 5V 3A, 400V 0.1A  that would be 32 + 15 + 40 watts or 87 watts.  Its good for a lot more output than that...
you see in front right of picture, 4 wires, 2 twisted in series, good for 120V to 2 wires, 230V to the untwisted wires
2 thick green wires marked 6.3V (3.15 and 3.15 = 6.3V vs. the CT), and thick wire on left marked 6V 2 wires connected for CT
towards back, thick wire marked CT for 5V (connect wires together), and 2 wires marked 5V
in the back, 3 thinner red to yellowish wires = 800VCT or 400-0-400
if you want close to 400VDC, use rectifiers, then choke, then cap with bleeder (2W load) resistor.
because its a lot of wires, we recommend you first try it with a 60-100W light bulb in series in case you accidentally connect 2 wires that shouldn't be connected
    very desired for 2A3s 300Bs 6L6s or pair of EL34 or 6550 or KT88.
you also could half the voltages running 120V to the two 120V wires not connected together (which usually would be 230V)
then you could series the 5 & 6.3, which would give you about 6V.  The high voltage output would be halved to 400VCT...
