    Description

This auction is for an antique, GENERAL ELECTRIC,  11.5 volt at 11.3 amp filament transformer with a 115 volt, 60 cps, primary.  It is putting out the rated voltage, but I have no way to check it under load.  This looks like something from a WW-II USN transmitter of some kind.  The voltage and current rating is very close to that for the 861 power tube which the navy used in several of their high powered transmitters; perhaps the TBM.
Take a good look at the pictures as they give a much better description than words can.   The tape measure shown in the pictures is NOT included in the auction.  It is assumed than anyone buying this transformer has the appropriate knowledge for safely working with high voltage circuits.   Although this transformer tests fine,  I have no control over how it may be used by others.   Like all vintage electronics, this transformer can fail if improperly wired.   Therefore,  it is being offered for sale AS IS with NO RETURNS.  If you have any questions, please ask them before bidding.  Shipping will be by insured priority mail for a flat rate of .95 anywhere within the United States.  Overseas shipping goes through the eBay global shipping program.  Local pickup is always welcome and free.
