    Description

    antique hand painted , early Continental snuff box of a village girl.. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. This lovely hand painted snuff box measures 3 “ wide, 1 3/4” long and 3/4” deep. It is probably French, possibly Italian. It is made from black papier mache. The painted, dark haired lady is wearing a deep pink peasant blouse, a full green skirt, 2 necklaces and a bangle bracelet. This box is from the early 19th century. There is a slight, round indentation to the right of the lady. Other than that, there is no damage, but there are signs of wear.
