    Description

    This is a handmade powder measure, made from willow wood.  The measure is drilled to hold by volume approximately 50 grains of FFG or FFFG black powder. It  is 3" long and 3/4" wide. The front has a black drawing of a beaver with a timbered mountain scene background, the reverse side has a double long spring steel trap and sealed with tung oil.  The bottom end has a bear track with an attached beaded leather lanyard 12" long, that can be tied to belt, powder horn or possible bag.  This is a functional measure to be used, but will look good for reenactments, a trade item at primitive shoots or rendezvous. These small measures are not mass produced but done one at a time by hand.
