    Description

    This is a new hand sewn mountain man fur cap made from a thick wool trade blanket, white and purple. This hat has an adjustable tie in back and will fit head sizes 7" to 8". The front of this hat has a thick dark brown leather bill with a hand stamped design on the edge. The front is finished with a tanned raccoon face on the front  and a hat feather. The inside of this hat has a leather sweatband on the front,  and outside ear flaps that can be tied on top or tucked inside, thus making it a winter hat if desired. These are not from a professional furrier, my caps are totally sewn by hand, one at a time. This hat will go well with any fur trade era costume, reenactments, rendezvous, or maybe on the ski slopes as well
