    Description

    This auction is for a GATES RADIO COMPANY,  10 HENRY at 800 ma,  FILTER REACTOR/CHOKE.  This was made for Gates by the Basler Electric Co. and has their number BE-1468 on it.   If I remember right this came out of a Gates kilowatt FM transmitter using a 4CX1000 tube.   The choke is not marked as to it's voltage rating, but the capacitors that were with it were rated at 4000 volts.
    The DC resistance is about 20 ohms.   There are no shorts to ground.  This choke  weighs 45 pounds.  Small section of the outer covering near one terminal has torn off.  The tape measure shown in the pictures is NOT included in the auction.  It is assumed than anyone buying this choke has the appropriate knowledge for safely working with high voltage circuits.    I have no control over how this choke may be used by others.   Like all vintage electronics, it can fail if improperly wired.   Therefore,  it is being offered for sale AS IS with NO RETURNS.  If you have any questions, please ask them before bidding.  Shipping will be by UPS ground for the actual cost, plus for packing materials.  Overseas shipping goes through the eBay global shipping program.  Local pickup is always welcome and free.
