    Description

This is a vintage original Argentinean poster from the classic 1950's Hammer horror film,
    DRACULA
(released in the US and other countries as
    HORROR OF DRACULA
), released in 1958 by Hammer Films and
    directed by Terence Fisher
. Christoper Lee makes his first and best screen appearance as Count Dracula in this Technicolor remake of Bram Stoker's classic novel.
This poster, which is a stone lithograph
is from what we believe was a 1963 re-release as designated by the "Universal City Studios" logo that did not come into use until that year. The image features full-color artwork depicting a huge head-shot of a creepy-looking Count Dracula (
    Christopher Lee
) as the Vampire Woman (
    Valerie Gaunt
) screams in terror. Dracula's castle with a graveyard in front is depicted next to him as a giant bat flies in the foreground. Folded as originally issued, this vintage original poster is unrestored and in exceptional condition with only small random tears on the edges; random pinholes in the top borders and in the top portion of the image area; and several small tears on the bottom border. The colors are fresh and vibrant without any indications of fading a feature a rich deep red which is complimented by the jet-black background.
The poster offered here is one of the nicest unrestored examples that we have seen of the original release Argentinean poster.
    Horror of Dracula
is considered one of the greatest vampire films ever made and is the best of all Hammer Film productions.
