NZ-2 Hand Operated Coil Winding Machine

NZ-2 Hand Operated Coil Winding Machine. Condition is "Used".
This machine is used for winding magnet wire onto a coil former.
It can be adjusted to take account of the wire diameter such that the wiring is tightly spaced.
And it can be set up such that the direction of travel of the guiding rail will automatically change direction when the pre-set end points are reached.
A mechanical counter is used to count the number of turns up to 2499.
A user manual is supplied with the machine.
The recommended ranges for coil and wire dimensions are as follows:

Coil Diameter:
12 to 150 mm

Coil Length:
6 to 110 mm
·
Wire Diameter:
0.12 to 0.91 mm
(approx. 19 to 37AWG single enamel magnet wire)
The mechanical gearing between hand wheel and headstock can be adjusted to give 2 gear ratios.
One ratio is suitable for winding 0.12 to 0.3 mm wire (approx. 29 to 37 AWG).
The other ratio is suitable for winding 0.3 to 0.91 mm wire (approx. 19 to 28 AWG).
The knob below the counter is used to fine tune the wire spacing.
The SWG scale on the side of the machine can be used as a guide but trial runs are needed.
I have used this machine to wind about a dozen coils.
The results are quite good, but it does take a bit of time to set up.
The machine comes with many spare parts, as well as some E80 coil formers and the necessary adaptors.  The table screws are not included.
The machine is in good condition.
