Powder horn, "Join, or Die." Hand engraved with leather straps

Believed to have been submitted in secret by Ben Franklin, the join or die snake was one of the earliest suggestions of rebellion against England. The need to stand together still rings true today. This genuine, functional cowhorn was wood fittings. The horn has been hand engraved with the Join or Die snake, and the words in the original font. The straps are leather, with Chevron trade beads. The cap has been studded with antique pewter tacks. See pics for details and thanks for looking!
