Description
Very interesting display material: a large vintage Selochrome 35mm camera film display made out of cardboard. Probably made around 1937 so about 85 years old!!!!! The display is from Selo (Selochrome) Films and is probably dated from Spring 1937. It's printed onto thick cardboard and designed to create a 3d effect which depicts a stylish young girl photographing the Coronation of George VI as the procession passes by. There are a few small holes in the middle of the board. Selochrome was founded in 1920 in Essex (United Kingdom) and was making roll films by 1931. It introduced 35mm film cartridges in 1935 so this advert would have related to that. Comes in a original unrestored condition and measures : 60 cm wide x 70 cm high x 8 cm deep. Very interesting piece and not easy to find.
