Here is an original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Billy Wilder's classic film about life in a German WWII prison camp,
Stalag 17
. Adapted from the successful Broadway play, the script was extensively rewritten by Wilder and Eric Blum. It was a great success at the box office and won William Holden a Best Actor Oscar.
This poster is from the first release of the
movie in Belgium in 1953. It features wonderful artwork by WIK that is unique to this Belgian release movie poster.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN / SIZE: Belgium  14" x 19.25"
CONDITION:
Very Good Trimmed Folded Condition. Partially trimmed top white border with a remnant of a former tax stamp. Some small tears and paper crinkling in the surrounding white borders, not affecting the vivid artwork. Originally folded as issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 20 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
