Description
This auction is for an vintage POWER TRANSFORMER, having an unusual 100 volt primary. With 100 volts on the primary the secondaries are rated: 640 V. center tapped at 105 ma; 5 volts at 3 amps; 2.5 volt at 5 amps; and a tapped secondary with 3.13 and 6.3 volts at 400 ma or 12 volts at 100 ma. Applying 115 volts to the primary I got: 740 Volts (370-0-370) for the high voltage; 6.3 volts from the 3 amp 5 volt winding; 3 volts from the 2.5 volt winding; and 3.4, 7.2, and 14 volts from the tapped secondary. Judging by the CEO-30389, I would guess this to be a USN contracted item for one of their WW-II radio sets. There is no manufacturer shown on it. This would be a good power transformer for a small transmitter or big audio amplifier.Take a good look at the pictures as they give a much better description than words can. The tape measure shown in the pictures is NOT included in the auction. It is assumed than anyone buying this transformer has the appropriate knowledge for safely working with high voltage circuits. Although this transformer worked fine when tested, I have no control over how it may be used by others. Like all vintage electronics, this transformer can fail if improperly wired. Therefore, it is being offered for sale AS IS with NO RETURNS. If you have any questions, please ask them before bidding. Shipping will be by insured priority mail for a flat rate of .95 anywhere within the United States. Overseas shipping goes through the eBay global shipping program. Local pickup is always welcome and free.
